Context
In Cambodia, many factors hinder children’s ability to access and continue their education. At Il Nodo, we believe one of the most significant barriers is the limited income of families, which is often insufficient to cover the expenses required to send their children to school (enrollment fees, supplies, uniforms, teacher fees, etc.).
The project includes several activities focused on education and health, aiming to increase children’s enrollment in the school system and support their continued attendance, thereby preventing school dropout.
The children selected for the project come from poor families living in conditions of severe social hardship.
Activities Description
The objective of the Sponsorship Program is to contribute to improving the living conditions of Cambodian children by providing them access to formal education.
Our program includes the following activities:
- Encouraging and facilitating children’s enrollment and continued attendance in the school system.
- Providing necessary school supplies and uniforms to enhance children’s preparedness and enthusiasm for school.
- Supporting students in preparing for their final exams.
- Monthly distribution of food supplies and hygiene kits to families.
